You will be combining a trip to the Ayutthaya with a visit to one of Thailand's premier National Parks, Khao Yai. You will experience magnificent waterfalls, gorgeous scenery, lush, untamed jungle, and the former capital of Siam, Ayutthaya.
TOUR DESCRIPTION
Day 1
The tour will begin with a pick-up from your Bangkok hotel by our guide team, followed by an hour-long journey to Ayutthaya. We'll visit all of the breathtaking and significant temples that the Ayutthaya Historical Park has to offer. You will be able to explore the remnants of this former Siam Kingdom up close and personal. After visiting the temples, we'll have lunch before getting back on the bus to go to Lopburi, which is our next stop. When the Khmer Empire reached deep into what is now modern-day Thailand, King Jayavarman VII ordered the construction of the Phra Prang Sam Yot temple in Lopburi. In addition to the temple's architectural and historical significance an enormous troop of urban macaque monkeys have made the temple and central Lopburi their home! The monkeys are a unique addition to the temple and one of the most popular sights in the area. The first day will end with your transfer to your Khao Yai hotel.
Day 2
The second day of our tour will give you the chance to immerse yourself in Khao Yai's distinctive and varied natural surroundings as we travel to some of the park's most well-known natural attractions. One of the park's most breathtaking waterfalls will be the first stop. You must take a 15-minute walk through the jungle to observe these breathtaking falls, which were made famous by their appearance in the Hollywood film "The Beach." The next leg of our journey will take us up to higher elevations in the park where we will make stops at Pha Diao Dai (Lonely Cliff View Point) and then on to Khao Kheow Viewpoint (Pha Trom Jai) both these points will provide spectacular and distance views across the park. If you are lucky you may spot some of the wild elephants which now reside in this park. Our morning amongst the nature of Khao Yai will be topped off with a rewarding lunch and then on to lower elevations where we will visit Primo Piazza. Primo Piazza is always popular with the younger ones, the highlight being the small petting zoo where you are able to feed llamas, donkeys and sheep. The final stop of the day before we return to Bangkok will be at The Granmonte Vineyard.
